Finance Trainee

• Assist in preparing, organizing, and maintaining financial documentation, trackers, and reports to ensure accurate financial records.
• Support financial planning and data analysis while helping improve finance processes and maintain data accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with internal financial policies by properly documenting transactions and collating required materials for internal and external audits.
• Record financial transactions in the accounting system (SAP) and prepare or upload journal entries under supervision.
• Support monthly closing activities, including financial, bank, and mobile money reconciliations
• Assist in maintaining prepaid expense and fixed asset schedules, and prepare documentation for internal and external audits
• Support the preparation and processing of vendor, staff, and operational payments while ensuring compliance with internal policies
• Monitor payment status through banking and mobile money platforms and assist in resolving payment errors or failed transactions

Qualifications & Experience:

• Hold bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Strong technical and communication skills, including attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, demonstrating professionalism and cooperation
• At least one year of experience working in a busy finance department, with demonstrated curiosity and willingness to learn.
