Job Description
The Finance Graduate Trainee will support EACOP’s finance team in day-to-day financial operations and strategic planning. This includes managing financial data, participating in budgeting and forecasting exercises, supporting invoice processing, and maintaining financial compliance. The trainee will assist with internal controls and gain hands-on experience in financial reporting, audits, and system-based financial tools. The position offers exposure to both corporate finance strategy and practical, operational finance activities in a dynamic infrastructure environment.
The role is designed for recent graduates who are eager to grow their careers in finance while contributing meaningfully to the organization’s financial health and goals.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Collect and organize data for the preparation of financial reports and statements.
Assist in preparing presentations and ensuring the accuracy of financial information.
Support budget development, forecasts, and variance analysis.
Help verify and process invoices and support account reconciliations.
Monitor and help enforce compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
Provide support during internal and external audits by preparing documentation.
Contribute to the development of internal financial controls and processes.
Maintain orderly and updated financial records and databases.
Support the finance team in archiving, filing, and data entry tasks.
Gain experience using corporate financial systems, tools, and analysis software.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Recent graduate or early-career professional.
Basic understanding of finance principles and accounting practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
Willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute to a team environment.
