Description (Public)
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and guide agroforestry activities and related projects
- Ensure quality of project implementation and compliance with contractual commitments
- Monitor and report KPIs, observations, photos, and other required data
- Supervise, train, and manage the field team
- Organize meetings and training sessions based on operational needs
- Maintain strong relationships with local partners, cooperatives, consultants, and authorities
- Represent PUR at technical events when requested
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master's degree or equivalent in agronomy, agriculture, agroforestry, or environmental sciences
- 3 to 5 years of experience in project management or advisory roles in Uganda
- Experience in coffee value chains, sustainable development, or cooperative management
- Motorcycle driving license required
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong operational management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Kobo, SurveyCTO, Drive, and GIS tools
- Fluent in English
- Strong communication and feedback skills
- Open-minded and able to work in dynamic agricultural environments
