Facilities Manager - Events (Nairobi)

• Facilities Operations
• Manage the day-to-day operation and maintenance of facilities.
• Ensure offices, workspaces, meeting areas, stores, production/support areas and common areas are maintained to a high standard.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities and identify maintenance, safety and operational issues.
• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate repairs, servicing and corrective maintenance.
• Ensure facilities are operational and ready to support business activities.
• Maintain accurate facilities records, asset registers and maintenance logs.
• Building & Equipment Maintenance
• Coordinate maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, access-control and other building systems.
• Ensure generators, backup power systems and other critical infrastructure are appropriately maintained.
• Coordinate servicing and inspection of facilities equipment.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Hospitality, Property Management, Inventory Management or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years’ relevant experience
• in facilities, property, operations, maintenance or administration.
• Experience managing contractors, suppliers and service providers.
• Experience managing workplace maintenance and facilities budgets.
• Working knowledge of occupational health and safety requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and reporting tools.
• Strong facilities and operational management skills.
• Excellent planning and coordination.
• Strong contractor and supplier-management skills.
