Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive EHS program that aligns with regulatory requirements and best practices.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures

  • Conduct risk assessments and inspections to identify potential hazards and develop mitigation plans

  • Monitor compliance with applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations

  • Provide training and education to employees on EHS principles and best practices

  • Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and near-misses

  • Maintain records and documentation related to EHS matters

  • Conduct audits and evaluations of EHS performance

  • Represent the company in matters related to EHS

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in EHS

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that EHS considerations are integrated into all operations

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Safety Management, or a related field

  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification preferred

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in EHS management

  • Strong understanding of environmental, health, and safety regulations

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
