Electrical Technician

• Carry out routine, preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment and machinery
• Inspect, maintain and repair electric motors, pumps, compressors, heaters, contactors, relays, circuit breakers and control panels
• Troubleshoot electrical circuits, wiring systems, sensors, limit switches and motor control systems
• Support maintenance and repair of variable frequency drives, soft starters and programmable logic controllers
• Ensure proper functioning of temperature controllers and heating elements used in plastic processing
• Inspect cables, connections and panels for wear, overheating and loose connections
• Test equipment and verify that safety devices function correctly
• Maintain records of inspections, repairs, breakdowns and component replacement
• Support machine installation, commissioning, relocation and electrical upgrades

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Installation, Industrial Electrical Maintenance or a related field
• Three or more years of experience working with industrial motors, control panels, electrical protection devices and machine control systems
• Must be familiar with PLCs, VFDs, sensors, temperature controllers and industrial automation
