Position Summary:
The Insurance Regulatory Authority of Uganda is seeking a qualified and reliable Driver to support its operations by providing safe and efficient transportation for staff, visitors, and organizational materials to designated locations.
Key Working Relationships:
Internal: All IRA Staff
External: Fuel stations, Mechanics, and Vehicle Service Providers

How to Apply
Provide safe and timely transportation for staff, management, and official visitors.
Collect and deliver documents, parcels, and other items as required.
Conduct daily pre-drive inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good condition.
Keep the vehicle clean and ensure it is secure during cleaning.
Maintain accurate records of fuel usage and vehicle servicing.
Check the operational status of essential features such as seat belts, locks, and windows.
Ensure compliance with road safety regulations and report any accidents to the police immediately.
Confirm that the vehicle has valid documentation including road license, insurance, and a car tracking system.
Perform any additional duties as assigned by management.
Key Performance Indicators:
Clean and well-maintained vehicle
Adherence to traffic laws and internal transport policies
Zero-accident record
Timely completion of transport duties
No complaints regarding vehicle misuse
Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (A’ Level) or equivalent
Valid driver’s license
Additional certification in mechanics and/or defensive driving is an added advantage
Required Competencies:
Professional personal presentation
Ability to identify and troubleshoot vehicle issues
Good knowledge of traffic laws and safety standards
