Driver (Health) (Salary Scale U8). To drive and maintain the vehicle assigned to the Health Unit. Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill vacant posts that exist in the service of Luwero District Local Government on a replacement basis.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

Drive the vehicle as assigned
Clean the vehicle, carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs
Report major mechanical faults
Maintain basic vehicle records
Ensure the safe custody of the vehicle

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

Qualifications & Experience:

Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with a pass in English Language
Valid driving permit of the appropriate class

Skills & Competencies:

Basic knowledge of mechanical and vehicle maintenance
Clean driving record
Public relations and customer care
Time management
Flexibility
