Description (Public)
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Safely transport and deliver vaccines and other health commodities to designated health facilities across Uganda.
- Ensure timely collection and delivery of consignments from designated medical stores.
- Comply with Uganda's road traffic laws, regulations and defensive driving standards.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before, during and after trips to confirm roadworthiness.
- Identify and report mechanical faults and perform basic vehicle troubleshooting.
- Maintain accurate trip, fuel and delivery records.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications & Experience:
- Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or its equivalent.
- Valid driving permit with a clean driving record.
- Experience driving for health, logistics or distribution operations is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies:
- Defensive and safe driving.
- Vehicle care and basic mechanical troubleshooting.
- Punctuality, integrity and record keeping.
