The Diesel Engine Maintenance Assistant supports diesel engine servicing and preventive maintenance at the Kingfisher field, identifying defects and carrying out routine tasks under supervision.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

Assist in routine engine inspections and preventive maintenance activities under supervision.
Support diesel engine servicing including oil changes, filter replacement and cleaning.
Identify visible engine defects, leaks, unusual noises and other abnormalities and report them to the supervisor.
Identify and use basic mechanical hand tools and maintenance equipment.
Follow maintenance instructions, safety procedures and work permits.
Observe oil and gas workshop safety, PPE requirements and housekeeping.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum of a certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Diesel Mechanics or a related technical field.
Certificate, diploma or bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Skills & Competencies:

Basic knowledge of diesel engines, engine components and their functions.
Basic understanding of engine lubrication, cooling and fuel systems.
Basic understanding of oil and gas workshop safety and PPE requirements.
Basic English communication skills and ability to work in a team.
