MSF Switzerland seeks a Deputy Project Coordinator for its Dagahaley Project in Garissa County, Kenya (12-month contract, 3-month probation). Reporting to the Project Coordinator, the DPC helps shape project objectives and priorities, contributes to the coordination, supervision and follow-up of project activities, and acts on behalf of the Project Coordinator during absences.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Contribute to the analysis of the political, humanitarian, economic and social context in the project area
- Support the Project Coordinator in planning, implementing, monitoring and following up all project activities
- Participate in project security management, including review and update of security guidelines
- Represent MSF at project level with local authorities, media and stakeholders as delegated
- Support planning and day-to-day management of project human resources
- Participate in exploratory and assessment missions
- Act on behalf of the Project Coordinator during absences
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications & Experience:
- Preferably a medical or paramedical qualification or university-level studies
- At least two (2) years of experience in humanitarian aid with MSF or another international NGO
- Minimum two (2) years of supervisory or managerial experience
- Experience working in developing countries and/or remote or hardship locations
Skills & Competencies:
- Security management and context analysis in volatile environments
- Stakeholder management and community engagement
- Context understanding and networking; English required, Kiswahili and Somali are assets
