King Faisal Hospital Rwanda Foundation is recruiting a Dean for its new School of Medicine. The post leads academic strategy, faculty development and clinical training standards.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

Provide strategic academic and operational leadership for the new School of Medicine.
Oversee curriculum design, residency accreditation and clinical training standards across specialties.
Recruit, mentor and evaluate medical faculty, clinical professors and academic researchers.
Establish clinical research frameworks and partnerships with global medical institutions.
Manage the school's operating budget, resource allocation and donor grants.
Ensure compliance with national higher education accreditation and Ministry of Health guidelines.
Integrate medical education with clinical operations at King Faisal Hospital.
Represent the School of Medicine in national health policy forums and international conferences.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

Qualifications & Experience:

Medical Doctor (MD or MBBS) with a clinical specialist qualification such as MMed, Fellowship or PhD.
At least 10 years of senior academic leadership experience in a medical school or tertiary teaching hospital.
Distinguished record of medical research publications, academic administration and clinical practice.

Skills & Competencies:

Medical education administration and curriculum accreditation.
Clinical research leadership and faculty development.
Strategic budgeting and partner engagement.
