Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Apply deep understanding of data center infrastructure including construction standards, power supply and distribution systems and data center products.
- Work with high and low voltage electrical systems, HVAC systems and foundational civil engineering principles.
- Apply familiarity with data center tier architectures and industry standard design requirements.
- Generate and interpret high level data center designs using CAD tools.
- Build, implement and maintain data center solutions and associated infrastructure products.
- Plan and deliver Level C data center projects independently from design through execution.
- Use project management principles to coordinate activities and maintain project standards.
- Support data center power systems, infrastructure design and adherence to engineering standards.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a closely related discipline.
- 3 years of experience in a Data Center Engineer or similar role.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (BIM) and electrical or HVAC design; CFD airflow simulation is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of MV generators, UPS systems, HVDC power systems, free cooling and liquid cooling.
- Professional certifications such as PE/CEng, LEED AP, Uptime ATD or CDCP are preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
- Data center design and documentation.
- CAD and BIM modelling.
- Project coordination across technical teams.
- Compliance with technical standards and timelines.
