Job Title: Data Analyst & Systems Administrator
Organisation: Ruko Establishment Milk Factory
Duty Station: Kiruhura, Uganda
Job Summary:
This is a dual role that blends data analytics with IT systems administration to empower all departments with actionable insights and ensure a secure, efficient digital infrastructure. The role also supports sales and marketing teams with technical expertise, GIS mapping, and digital engagement strategies.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Data Analytics & Departmental Support
Collect, clean, and analyze data across production, sales, logistics, and finance
Develop dashboards and reports for executive and departmental use
Train and support departments in using data for decision-making and performance tracking
Assist the sales team in GIS mapping of customer locations and market segmentation
Identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization
Systems Administration & IT Support
Maintain and upgrade plant-wide IT infrastructure (servers, networks, workstations)
Ensure cyber security protocols and data protection compliance
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively
Manage software installations, updates, and backups
Provide technical support to staff across all departments
Digital Presence & Marketing Support
Maintain and regularly update the company website with fresh content and product information
Provide technical support to social media handlers and digital marketing team
Assist in social media campaigns, analytics, and online customer engagement
Ensure brand consistency and technical functionality across digital platforms

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Statistics, or related field
Certifications in data analytics (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), GIS, and systems administration (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft) are a plus
3+ years in data analysis and/or IT systems administration
Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or food processing industries preferred
Proficiency in SQL, Excel, GIS tools, and data visualization platform
Familiarity with ERP systems and database management
Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux server environments
Website CMS (e.g., WordPress), SEO, and basic HTML/CSS
Understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing tools
