Job Description
The Database Administrator is responsible for designing, planning, implementing, and maintaining the organization's databases and related infrastructure. This role requires expertise in managing databases across various platforms, including different operating systems, cloud implementations, storage solutions, and core database systems. The Database Administrator must ensure optimal database performance and capacity management while aligning performance requirements with cost-effectiveness for the implementation and support of these platforms.

How to Apply
Database Planning (40%): Design and implement organizational database systems to meet performance and availability targets. Develop and enforce capacity management procedures to ensure databases remain within capacity thresholds.
Database Management (30%): Manage database availability and service recovery processes, ensuring issues related to projects, incidents, and problems are addressed according to defined policies, procedures, and service level agreements (SLAs).
Database Integration (10%): Ensure the integration of the database strategy aligns with the bank's business direction.
Database Security (10%): Ensure the effectiveness of database security policies, controls, and infrastructure to protect against risks such as data loss, corruption, and unauthorized access.
Database Setup (10%): Plan, design, and implement database projects according to the bank's requirements. Monitor database capacity and performance to ensure optimal efficiency.
Job Specifications
Academic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Professional Qualifications:
ITIL, OCA, OCP, OCM, or other relevant IT certifications are advantageous.
Project Management certifications (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) are preferred.
Desired Work Experience:
A minimum of three years’ experience in database and storage support in medium to large organizations.
Experience in a banking or financial services organization is a plus.
