Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage HIV-related prevention and care activities.
- Support ongoing programme activities in the study communities.
- Plan, implement and monitor client testing services.
- Report on conducted research and counselling activities.
- Provide intensive adherence counselling to non-suppressed clients.
- Support clients through disclosure and ongoing psychosocial concerns.
- Take part in counselling meetings and community mobilisation and health education.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma or degree in Counselling and Guidance, Social Work or Psychology.
- Fluency in English and Luganda.
- Willingness to work in rural areas.
- HIV counselling experience, relevant certification and motorcycle riding ability are added advantages.
Skills & Competencies:
- Client counselling and active listening skills.
- Community engagement readiness.
- Strong spoken and written communication.
- Attention to detail in field reporting and data collection.
