Chinese Cuisine Cook

• Nexus Staffing Solutions is recruiting on behalf of its client for an experienced and passionate Chinese Cuisine Cook to join its kitchen team in Nairobi.
• We are looking for a cook who understands Chinese cooking techniques, can prepare delicious and consistent meals, and takes pride in food quality, presentation, and kitchen hygiene.
• If you have hands-on experience preparing Chinese dishes in a restaurant, hotel, takeaway, or catering establishment, this is an opportunity to put your culinary skills to work.
• The salary ranges from KSh. 35,000 to KSh. 40,000 per month, depending on experience and demonstrated cooking ability.
• Prepare a variety of Chinese dishes while maintaining authentic flavours and consistent quality.
• Prepare ingredients, sauces, marinades, and accompaniments required for Chinese cooking.
• Apply appropriate cooking techniques, including stir-frying, steaming, deep-frying, and wok cooking, where relevant to the menu.
• Follow recipes and maintain consistency in taste, portion sizes, and presentation.
• Ensure food is handled, stored, and prepared safely.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workstations and equipment.
• Monitor ingredient usage and minimise food wastage.
• Coordinate with other kitchen team members to ensure timely preparation and service.
• Support menu preparation and recommend improvements to dishes where appropriate.
• Proven practical experience as a cook or chef specialising in Chinese cuisine.
