Category Manager - Pharmaceuticals

The Category Manager - Pharmaceuticals leads a pharmaceutical sales and marketing team including Team Leaders, Sales Supervisors and Medical/Sales Representatives. The role owns the development of the pharmaceuticals business unit's sales strategies, brand management and stakeholder relationships.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

Develop and implement a comprehensive national sales strategy aligned with business objectives to drive revenue growth and market share
Lead brand ownership and positioning for all pharmaceutical and other products at national level
Oversee the creation and execution of effective marketing campaigns
Lead, mentor and evaluate the performance of Team Leaders, Sales Supervisors and Medical/Sales Representatives
Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with key suppliers to ensure product availability and quality standards
Build and nurture customer relationships across hospitals, pharmacies and healthcare professionals
Manage inventory and implement effective debt collection and credit management
Manage the commercial unit's budget targeting gross profit and overall unit profitability

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in a business or health-related field
Over 10 years of sales and marketing experience at a regional level
Proven senior business leadership experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector
