Carbon Finance Manager (Fixed-Term)

The Carbon Finance Manager ensures One Acre Fund's agroforestry carbon programmes have strong financial models and accessible financing, supporting fundraising and partnerships.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

Build, maintain and stress-test financial models of carbon projects covering credit production, issuance volumes and operational costs
Maintain programme and portfolio-level rollups for leadership decision-making
Build fluency of financial models with programme teams to guide operational decisions
Align forecasts with country programme teams, central finance and partnerships
Support external fundraising, produce financial summaries for carbon buyers and investors and run sensitivity analysis

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

Degree in finance, economics, accounting or a related field; CFA or similar is an advantage
Strong experience in financial modelling, ideally in carbon, climate or development finance
Understanding of nature-based carbon financing at smallholder level
Advanced Excel and analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication for investor audiences
