Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve quality coffee including cappuccino, latte, espresso, americano and specialty beverages.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders and other coffee equipment.
- Ensure consistency in beverage quality, taste and presentation.
- Monitor coffee supplies, manage stock and minimise wastage.
- Promote beverage sales through upselling.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications & Experience:
- Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality, Food and Beverage Service and Barista Training.
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Barista, preferably in a hotel, restaurant or specialty coffee shop.
- Practical knowledge of espresso preparation, milk steaming and latte art.
- Good understanding of coffee varieties and brewing methods.
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent customer service.
- Communication and teamwork.
- Speed and consistency during peak service.
