Job Description
The role is responsible for delivering high-quality service to Prestige Banking clients, addressing service gaps, and ensuring seamless engagement across multiple touchpoints. The banker will proactively conduct client reviews to understand financial needs, provide holistic guidance, and collaborate with product specialists to deliver integrated solutions. Key to the role is driving client retention, identifying opportunities for growth, and strengthening bank-client relationships by providing contextual financial decision-making support.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality service to Prestige Banking clients, addressing service gaps promptly.
Conduct holistic client reviews to understand financial behaviours, needs, and product usage.
Provide tailored financial solutions across bank products and services.
Collaborate with product specialists to deliver contextual guidance and cross-pillar solutions.
Identify new business opportunities and generate additional sales for client growth.
Retain and grow client portfolios through proactive engagement and relationship management.
Apply discretion when acting on client instructions, escalating where necessary.
Provide financial education and product knowledge to support clients’ decision-making.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (FAIS).
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education
First Degree (NQF7) in Business Commerce or related field.
FAIS Representative Certification (required).
Experience
3–4 years’ experience in sales, service, relationship management, and credit applications within Personal or Private Banking.
Proven financial acumen with experience analysing client behaviour and needs.
Track record of retaining clients and growing accounts through tailored solutions.
Core Competencies
Strong client relationship management and retention skills.
Knowledge of banking processes, risk management, and consumer banking.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Ability to identify opportunities, convince and influence clients, and pursue goals effectively.
Strong teamwork, resilience, and composure under pressure.
