Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Install and set up AV equipment including speakers, microphones, projectors and display screens.
- Operate audio and visual systems during events, meetings and functions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve AV equipment malfunctions and technical issues.
- Maintain and update the inventory of AV equipment and accessories.
- Ensure safe use, handling and storage of AV systems and tools.
- Coordinate with event and operations teams to meet AV requirements.
- Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance on AV systems.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications & Experience:
- Certificate in Audio Visual Technology, Electronics, ICT or a related field.
- One year relevant working experience at a similar level in a reputable organisation.
Skills & Competencies:
- Audio visual systems operation.
- Equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of event AV requirements.
- Technical setup and cabling.
- Attention to detail and teamwork.

Mandela National Stadium often referred to as Namboole Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Kampala, Uganda. It is currently used mostly for football matches, although other sports are also practiced. The stadium has a capacity of 40,202 people. The stadium was built with a grant of $36 million dollars from the People’s Republic of China. The 40,202 capacity sports complex was built with a $36m Chinese government grant and opened in 1997. Mandela National Stadium has a mandate to promote sports and community development through provision of adequate sports facilities both for national and international competitions.
