Job Opportunity: Assistant Security and Investigations Officer (1 Position)

Reports To: Manager, Security and Investigations

Main Purpose of the Job
The Assistant Security and Investigations Officer is responsible for maintaining organizational security through surveillance, audits, and investigations. The role involves identifying, preventing, and resolving cases related to theft, fraud, embezzlement, and other security threats. The officer will also support national security efforts in collaboration with other law enforcement agencies.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Conduct and implement security audits and inspections to identify and seal off vulnerabilities that could lead to criminal activity.
Assist in conducting surveillance to detect potential threats, fraud, sabotage, or malicious activities, and promptly report findings to the supervisor.
Investigate incidents involving national security risks, including drugs, explosives, and chemicals, in coordination with the police and other intelligence agencies.
Gather, update, and communicate security-related intelligence to support operational safety.
Prepare regular security reports covering surveillance findings and broader national security observations.
Assist in collecting and organizing evidence relevant to internal and external investigations.
Support the Investigation Team in conducting interviews, obtaining search warrants, and executing related investigative duties as assigned.
Key Performance Indicators
Regular submission of security audit reports
Development and implementation of a comprehensive security plan
Timely and accurate surveillance reports
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum Qualifications
Diploma in Law, Business Administration, or Management from a recognized institution.
Experience
At least two (2) years of experience in a similar security or investigations role.
Additional training in special investigation techniques or general security is an added advantage.
