Assistant Law Enforcement Officer

Description (Public)

Assistant Law Enforcement Officer (Salary Scale U7) — reports to the Law Enforcement Officer. To maintain law and order and enforce regulations in the Municipality. Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill vacant posts that exist in the service of Luwero District Local Government on a replacement basis.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

Enforce national laws and Council by-laws
Detect, arrest, prepare charge sheets and prosecute law breakers
Sensitize the public on crime prevention
Protect life and property of the residents

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

Qualifications & Experience:

O' Level Education plus a Diploma in Law with formal training in policing and Criminal Investigation activities from a recognized institution
Two years' experience in law enforcement activities

Skills & Competencies:

Evidence Act training skills
Communicating effectively
Time management
Physical fitness
