Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide technical and operational support in managing conservation monitoring systems and spatial data workflows.
- Perform spatial analysis and map generation using ArcGIS and related GIS software for conservation projects.
- Support conservation technology platforms including EarthRanger and SMART for real-time tracking and monitoring.
- Manage, clean, and organize ecological, ranger patrol, and human-wildlife conflict datasets.
- Assist in training field teams and rangers on data collection tools and field technology devices.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, GIS, Conservation Biology, Wildlife Management, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in GIS spatial analysis and conservation data management.
- Demonstrated proficiency with ArcGIS, EarthRanger, or SMART software platforms.
Skills & Competencies:
- GIS and spatial data analysis (ArcGIS).
- Conservation technology platforms (EarthRanger, SMART).
- Ecological data management and field team training.
