Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Assayer, the Assayer will conduct precise laboratory testing of mineral samples using advanced analytical techniques such as Fire Assay, XRF, AAS, and ICP-MS. This role involves sample preparation, quality assurance, data reporting, laboratory equipment management, and regulatory compliance. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with laboratory safety protocols.

  • An Honor’s Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Geology, Mineral Analytical Science, or a related field.

  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in assaying, especially in precious and base metals.

  • Proficiency in analytical laboratory techniques such as Fire Assay, AAS, ICP-MS, and laboratory management software.

  • Certification in assaying or a related field is an added advantage.

  • Ability to work safely in a laboratory environment with hazardous substances.

  • Strong analytical and technical skills for accurate interpretation of assay results.

  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy in sample testing and reporting.

  • Excellent communication skills for reporting and collaboration with technical teams.
