Job Description
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer
As part of its operational readiness, the Company is establishing key functional teams, including Finance, and invites suitably qualified Ugandans to apply for available positions.
Role Purpose
The Accountant will be a key member of the Finance team, responsible for accurate financial record keeping, statutory and external reporting, tax compliance, and management accounting. The role supports sound financial control and timely reporting to support the Company’s manufacturing operations.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and complete accounting records in line with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
- Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Ensure timely and accurate external financial reporting and statutory submissions.
- Support tax compliance, including preparation and filing of relevant tax returns.
- Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control processes.
- Support financial analysis and reporting for management decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies, and procedures.
- Work closely with other departments to support efficient financial operations.
- Utilize and support financial reporting through ERP systems.
