We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Officer – Accounts Payable and Treasury to join our Finance team. As we scale up, this role is key to supporting our financial reporting and accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all activities. In this position, you will be responsible for preparing month-end reports, managing reconciliations, and overseeing accounts payable and cash management, making sure that financial transactions align with relevant accounting standards.
Your role will involve a wide range of accounting duties, including processing accruals, prepayments, and journal entries, maintaining the Fixed Assets Register, and performing General Ledger and Balance Sheet reconciliations. Additionally, you will manage inter-company transactions, supplier payments, and employee expense claims workflows. Cash management will be central to this position as you monitor cash balances and ensure funds are available for disbursements. You will also be involved in bank reconciliations, ensuring all accounts are reconciled with zero variances. Beyond these core responsibilities, you’ll assist in budgeting and forecasting, ensuring that our finance team meets its strategic objectives.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
To excel in this role, we are looking for candidates with a fundamental understanding of accounting principles and experience in financial reporting and reconciliation.
You should have a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field and be actively pursuing CPA or ACCA qualifications.
The role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Familiarity with Australian Accounting Standards is preferred, along with proficiency in Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) and other accounting software.
