Reports to: Plant Operator III (Chassis Electrical and Drivetrain Systems)
The Plant Operator II (Chassis Electrical and Drivetrain Systems) is responsible for the installation, testing, and maintenance of chassis electrical components and drivetrain systems. The role ensures that all systems function efficiently and meet the required safety and quality standards for vehicle production.

How to Apply
Chassis Component Assembly: Assemble various components of the chassis, including suspension, steering, and brake systems, according to specifications. Use tools, equipment, and machinery to install parts precisely, following torque specifications and alignment requirements. Ensure all fasteners, bushings, bearings, and joints are installed correctly to prevent future maintenance issues or failures.
System Installation and Integration: Install major chassis systems into the vehicle frame, integrating with other vehicle systems as specified by engineering guidelines. Verify compatibility and proper alignment of chassis components, ensuring they are securely attached to the frame and body. Integrate components with other subsystems, such as the powertrain, to ensure smooth operation and stability.
Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Operate specialized tools and machinery for chassis system assembly, such as hydraulic lifts, torque wrenches, and alignment gauges. Perform basic maintenance on equipment to ensure functionality and safety, reporting any equipment malfunctions to the maintenance team. Follow proper operating procedures and safety protocols when using equipment, minimizing risk of accidents or equipment damage.
Adherence to Safety Standards: Follow all safety procedures when handling heavy parts and using equipment, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Additional duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Education Background
Uganda Vocational Qualification Framework Level II in Motor Vehicle Mechanics or Related Field from a recognized Institution

Ability to take Initiative and Good Decision-Making Skills
Good physical condition, flexibility, and endurance
Ability to Learn and Acquire New and Relevant Skills

Ability to understand blueprints, schematic diagrams, and technical manuals.
Mechanical skills and knowledge of basic machinery.
