Job Description
Job Title: Graduate Trainee Programme – Feedmill (10 No Experience Jobs)
Organisation: Biyinzika Poultry International Limited (BPIL)
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
To provide recent graduates with practical exposure and hands-on experience in feedmill operations, enabling them to gain technical and managerial knowledge in the feed manufacturing industry. The trainee will undergo a structured training program aimed at preparing them for a full-time position within the company.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Essential:
Assist in the daily operations of the feedmill, including the preparation and mixing of animal feed.
Support the Feedmill Manager in monitoring the production process, ensuring product quality and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Participate in equipment maintenance schedules and assist in troubleshooting technical issues in the mill.
Learn and support inventory management and raw material sourcing processes.
Assist in preparing reports on production, quality control, and any other operational data required by management.
Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas on process improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
Support the analysis of feedmill data to monitor productivity, efficiency, and waste reduction.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations at all times in the feedmill environment.
Undergo training and development sessions on feed manufacturing processes, machinery operation, and quality assurance practices.
Work closely with other departments such as logistics, sales, and marketing to ensure seamless coordination.
Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives and provide recommendations for operational improvements.
Complete any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor(s).

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Must have completed the undergraduate degree program between 2022- 2024 in; Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree.
Manufacturing knowledge is an added advantage
Excellent communicator, hardworking, agile, flexible and versatile
Ugandan citizen
Applicants must be residents of the below districts: Kampala, Wakiso, Mukono, Jinja, Kamuli, Kasese, Hoima, Fortportal, Kabarole, Kyegegwa.
