Internship Overview
Uganda Airlines invites recent Flight Operations Officer graduates to embark on a transformative internship program designed to launch careers in Flight Dispatch. This position is a vital role within the Operations Control Centre (OCC) team, responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of flights. This immersive program blends structured training with real-world application, offering mentorship from industry veterans. You will master flight planning, regulatory compliance, and crisis management. This internship offers a unique opportunity to develop skills in a fast-paced environment while contributing to the operational success of Uganda Airlines.

How to Apply
Develop flight plans using advanced software (e.g., Jeppesen) and analyze weather, NOTAMS, and airspace constraints.
Calculate optimal fuel requirements and alternate routes for safety and efficiency.
Ensure compliance with Uganda CAA, ICAO, EASA and UKCAA regulations.
Collaborate with Pilots, Cabin Crew, Maintenance & Engineering Personnel, and Air Traffic Control to resolve operational challenges.
Participate in emergency response simulations and post-flight debriefings.
Maintain meticulous records and adapt to evolving aviation technologies.
Understand key HR Policies and procedures in a work environment

A fresh graduate (2022 – 2025) in Flight Dispatch from a recognized school.
Holder of a Flight Operations Officer License issued by the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA) as per the Civil Aviation (Personnel Licensing) Regulations, 2022.
Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication abilities for cross-functional teamwork.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with flight dispatch tools is a plus.
Flexibility for shift work, including nights/weekends/public holidays.
Knowledge of Uganda and International Aviation Regulations.
