Provide support to the section on monitoring and evaluation activities at Uganda Railways Corporation, contributing to the development, implementation, and assessment of projects and plans.

Responsible for overseeing the engine room of the vessel, managing engineering staff onboard, and ensuring the safety and efficiency of marine operations.

Responsible for ensuring that all URC’s processes, activities, and outputs adhere to safety, health, and environmental requirements as per URC’s Safety, Health and Environment Manual and all relevant laws and regulations in Uganda.

Oversee financial strategy, reporting, risk management, budgeting, and compliance.

The Principal Internal Auditor will be responsible for leading and managing complex audit assignments to ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Responsible for efficient and effective supervision and giving orders on trains working and movement at stations in line with URC Operating Procedure

Responsible for review of the adequacy of risk management and compliance systems, structures, procedures and capacities within URC’s operations

Responsible for the preparation and implementation of a risk based audit plan and to provide reasonable assurance to both the Senior Management and the Board of Directors

The Managing Director will ensure the profitable operation and strategic development of Uganda Railways Corporation, working within the mandates of national laws and policies

Drafting, editing, and formatting documents such as memos, reports, presentations, and correspondence

Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals
