The Bank of Uganda, established on August 15th, 1966, operates independently and in close collaboration with the Ministry of Finance, Planning, and Economic Development. It plays a pivotal role in formulating monetary policy and maintaining price stability, which are critical for the country’s economic health.

Who Can Apply?

The BoU seeks dynamic and motivated candidates who hold First Class or Upper Second-Class degrees from recognized universities. The fields of study include Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce, Business Administration, Statistics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Library & Information Science, Human Resource, Procurement, Public Relations, Law (with a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice), and other related disciplines.

Key Competencies Required

The bank is looking for individuals who exhibit a range of competencies such as analytical skills, attention to detail, teamwork, interpersonal skills, integrity, transparency, problem-solving abilities, and excellent written & verbal communication. A high level of innovation is also a desired trait.

Age Limit

The positions are open to candidates not above 26 years of age as of the closing date of the advertisement.
