Job Description
The Wildlife and Conservation Intern will contribute to the planning, supervision, and implementation of various conservation activities. Working under the guidance of WWF conservation teams, the intern will engage in environmental awareness campaigns, youth initiatives, mentorship of environmental groups, and data collection. The intern will also help document project impacts, write activity reports, and support the coordination of field assignments in different WWF project areas.

How to Apply
Support the planning and implementation of conservation initiatives
Assist in managing and supervising sustainable natural resource activities in protected areas
Collaborate in the creation and delivery of youth engagement and outreach programs
Help manage and mentor community-based environmental groups
Work with communication teams to document project impacts and community feedback
Assist in writing activity reports and providing data for technical progress reports
Undertake field visits and assignments with WWF staff to project locations
Maintain a positive image of WWF and support its public reputation
Produce quarterly and final internship performance reports
Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Management, Natural Resources Management, Forestry, Environmental Science, Tourism, or related field
Up to 2 years’ experience post-graduation (entry-level)
Strong interest in conserving nature for people and wildlife
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Ability and willingness to travel frequently to field sites
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to socialize and engage in community activities
Team player with a capacity for independent work
Respect for multicultural, diverse, and inclusive environments
Strong planning and coordination skills
Fluency in Runyakitara is an added advantage
