Welding Operations:

Reading Blueprints and Specifications:

• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to understand welding requirements.

• Determine the appropriate welding techniques based on the materials and project specifications.

Preparation and Assembly:

• Prepare materials for welding by cutting, shaping, and assembling metal parts.

• Ensure that materials and workpieces are clean and properly aligned before welding.

Quality Control:

• Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.

• Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) methods, such as visual inspection, dye penetrant, or ultrasonic testing, to check weld quality.

• Identify and repair defects or irregularities in welds.

Maintenance and Repair:

• Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition.

• Perform regular maintenance and troubleshoot welding equipment issues as needed.

• Repair existing metal structures and components by welding and fabricating replacement parts.

Safety Compliance:

• Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), such as welding helmets, gloves, and protective clothing.
