General Summary
The position holder will be supervising circumcision activities at static site and mobile camps in the field. This person will manage site or camp staff during implementation of VMMC activities. He /she will work with the VHTs/mobilisers in the community for client mobilization and MOH staff to ensure that implementation of the VMMC program in the districts is efficiently executed. He /she will also manage logistics and camp finances in the VMMC operation areas.
Key Responsibilities
Over site leadership of VMMC activities at the site or camp
Client mobilization and provision of health education and timely management of Adverse Events
Offering circumcision to clients and management of follow up.
Handling and accounting for circumcision finances and logistics.
Ensuring security and proper utilization of logistics according to inventory lists
Ensuring proper consenting processes; parents or legal guardians consenting for minors and client consenting.
Ensuring proper client screening is done including client age 15years and above for Dorsal slit and 13 years and above for Shang ring.
Conducting SMC activities at both static and in the field and ensuring staff adhere to SOP/policies
Promoting and ensuring continuous quality improvement (CQI) in the delivery of MC services
Adhering to community entry process and working with stake holders within the district (DHO, Health facility I/C, security organs, religious leaders, institution leaders and VHTs)
Prompt submission of reports using the standard reporting forms by end of every activity or Month.
Ensuring camp site staff are available and practicing professionalism.
Ensuring infection control and surgery is done in accordance to SOP
Ensuring proper data management at VMMC sites: Filing of AEs, Reports, Client cards
Willingness to work extra hours
Any other duties as may reasonably be assigned from time to time

Person Specification
Up to date registration with the Allied Health Professionals’ Council
At least two years’ post-qualification professional experience
Formal training, certification and experience in the clinical aspects of VMMC service delivery is a must.
Use of computers including word processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint, email and Internet
