The position holder will be responsible for:
Represent the Project Management Team in meetings, workshops, seminars with Contractors and Authorities.
Defend and follow the Local Content Strategy and management plan .
Ensure that all project activities are carried out in compliance with local regulations especially regarding the local content.
Upon specific request, define and ensure that the work execution and progress in Uganda is aligned with the project schedule and priorities.
Interface between other the Company entities (in particular Land acquisition, Social Affairs, Environment, BD), the Project Management team and EPC Contractors.
Provide in-country technical support and represent the Project in meetings with Partners and Authorities, when required.
Organize specific internal and external reporting accordingly.
Ensure that knowledge transfer and feedback to all stakeholders takes place.
Develop a good oversight on Projects activities in Country.
Prepare and promote documentation for the overall Projects when and where required.
Contribute to development of local employees.
Support the Contracts & procurement Managers (TEPU and PMT) in their activities
Provide any necessary support to F OPS and Training Manager related to their activities of Operator’s and Maintenance training (with UPIK, MDAs).
If necessary and according to the candidate profile, participate in the re-organization of the affiliate after First Oil, with the demobilization of part of the project Surface team and the creation of Engineering, Construction & Projects entity (“Travaux neufs”).
Finally participate in recording the Project feedback, aiming at preparing the close out of the project.

Qualifications/Experience required
Qualification: Bachelor's degree in engineering or business.
Experience:
Minimum 8 to 15 years’ experience in Petroleum Operations or equivalent heavy Industries, including leadership positions with experience of National Content and relationship with Contractors and Authorities.
Good communication skills and good capacity of clear explanation.
Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
