Job Description
The Trading Services Specialist will act as the key contact for Alpaca's enterprise-level clients, focusing on electronic trading coverage. This role involves delivering technical and operational support, ensuring the smooth execution of trades, maintaining FIX sessions, and assisting with OMS functionality. The specialist will monitor trading activity, manage corporate actions, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Additionally, the role includes gathering client feedback, contributing to product improvement, and identifying potential risks in trading processes.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Provide support via phone, email, and chat for issues related to account management, order execution, and FIX sessions
Build and maintain strong relationships with enterprise clients
Monitor trading activities, detect anomalies, and provide alerts and solutions
Offer guidance based on market developments and infrastructure updates
Manage corporate actions like dividends, stock splits, and mergers
Collaborate with trading desks, IT, operations, and compliance teams
Ensure adherence to regulatory policies and internal standards
Gather client feedback and support continuous service improvements
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field
2–3 years of experience in brokerage operations or related fields
Experience with trading services, customer support, and client relationship management
Familiarity with equities trading platforms and FIX protocol; options trading knowledge is a plus
Must possess or be willing to acquire JSDA Sales Representative Class 1 within 3 months
Strong interpersonal and communication skills in both English and Japanese
Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
High standards of ethics and confidentiality
