Job Description
The Trade Development Representative will report to the Area Sales Manager and will be responsible for retailer and agent recruitment, routine field visits, training, and maintaining point-of-sale standards. The role involves mapping and onboarding agents, enforcing compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and KYC guidelines, ensuring consistent product availability, and driving visibility of products and services. The position requires strong customer focus, negotiation skills, and an ability to build strong partnerships.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Recruit and map SSOs and T-Kash agents within high-traffic areas
Conduct regular field visits following a defined beat plan
Provide and train agents and SSOs on business tools and systems
Deliver AML training and test agents; ensure KYC compliance for SIM registration
Monitor float levels and SIM stock to ensure availability for activations
Enforce stock coverage rules (e.g., 1.5x stock rule for agents)
Implement and maintain merchandising standards at outlets
Track and report performance indicators to Area Sales Manager

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education:
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year experience in sales and distribution, preferably in FMCG or telecommunications
Competencies:
Strong customer focus
Excellent influencing and negotiation skills
Strong networking and partnership-building abilities
Analytical and strategic thinking
