The Telecommunications Technicians is responsible for installing, maintaining and servicing a variety of telephone equipment, installing voice and data communication circuits, security cameras, panic systems, door access, and cabling.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Inspecting, analyzing, and troubleshooting telecom systems and equipment.
Installing telecommunications equipment, routers, switches, multiplexors, cable trays, alarm, and and fire-suppression systems
Able to read and interpret drawings, floor plans, specifications, and cut sheets
Reading repair manuals and liaising with other professionals.
Running tests and interpreting results to make effective recommendations.
Writing up reports, safety regulations, and preventative maintenance plans.
Sourcing replacement parts.

Maintain compliance with customers’ security requirement ensuring junior team members comply
Repairing or replacing faulty equipment.
Fabricating any components required.
Keeping abreast of advancements in your field.

Qualification and Experience:
High school diploma or degree in engineering, electronics, computer science or another related field is required.
Proficiency in MS Office.
3 years’ experience as a technician.
Ability to multitask and liaise with professionals in different fields.
Ability to explain problems simply and clearly.
Technical and problem-solving skills.
Successful candidates with relevant experience and recognized expertise in large onshore/offshore oil and gas EPC projects will be preferred.
