Job Description
The successful candidate will:
Manage a portfolio of complex projects across multiple business lines.
Provide leadership, motivation, and coordination for project teams.
Ensure all projects align with Kenya Airways' strategic goals.
Report on project success criteria, metrics, and deployment activities.
Develop project estimates and detailed project plans.
Procure and manage necessary resources for timely project delivery.
Lead daily project activities and team meetings.
Oversee change management and project communications.
Track and report on project milestones, risks, deliverables, and issues.
Support vendor selection processes and define Statements of Work.
Manage project and program engagement, including budgets, risks, issues, and communications.
Set clear expectations and ensure all stakeholders and team members deliver on objectives.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Manage multiple complex initiatives and align them with business objectives.
Lead and inspire project teams to achieve project milestones.
Report on success criteria results, risk status, and deployment activities.
Develop detailed estimates and project plans.
Facilitate procurement of resources and vendor partnerships.
Manage day-to-day project activities, resources, and meetings.
Drive change management strategies to ensure project ROI.
Conduct staff performance monitoring and reviews.
Communicate project progress across leadership and stakeholders.
Participate in feasibility studies and vendor evaluation processes.
Define and manage Statements of Work and project specifications.
Continually manage stakeholder expectations and deliverables.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, BBIT, or related fields.
Project Management Certification (PMP, Prince2, Prince2 Agile, MSP, etc.)
Minimum of 6 years professional experience, with at least 4 years in technology project management.
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
Experience managing vendors and external partnerships.
Proficient in project management tools and software.
