Job Description
Supervise the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the university's ICT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and data centers.
Duties and Responsibilities
Main duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the university's ICT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and data centers.
Oversee the execution of ICT projects, from conception to completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Work with the Director of University ICT Services to propose and implement needed ICT services to required standards or according to existing Service Level
Agreements (SLA).
Lead and mentor a team of technical professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Plan for, introduce and integrate new technologies in the existing environment.
Develop, implement and maintain an effective network and data security strategy to safeguard University data and systems.
Coordinate with other departments to identify technology needs and align ICT projects with the University's strategic goals.
Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of the ICT systems to meet the university's academic and administrative needs.
Collaborate with external vendors to procure hardware, software, and services that meet the university's standards and requirements.
Oversee the ICT helpdesk function, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues and providing excellent customer service to faculty, staff, and students.
Develop and implement training programs to enhance digital literacy and promote efficient use of ICT resources.
Provide periodic update reports to the Director, University ICT Services.

Qualifications and Competencies
Qualification and Experience:
Should have a Masters degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering related field from a recognized institute of higher learning or more than
one related professional certification.
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
Engineering, IT or Computer Science related professional certifications will be an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of networking, systems administration, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies.
Should have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a managerial position carrying out related work.
Must have ICT project management experience.
Strong team leadership skills and demonstrable knowledge of strategic planning.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be a person of strong faith and integrity and a committed Christian.
