Job Description
The Teaching Assistant will work closely with the teaching staff to support classroom learning and activities. They will assist in personalizing education for students, ensure safety and security, organize and facilitate play/learning activities, and develop appropriate educational materials. The ideal candidate will be flexible, creative, emotionally intelligent, and committed to continuous professional development.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Support teaching and learning activities in the classroom.
Ensure the safety and security of learners at all times.
Assist in organizing and facilitating play and learning activities for learners.
Prepare and develop play/learning materials.
Demonstrate flexibility, creativity, and adaptability in all classroom situations.
Maintain excellent written and spoken communication in English.
Exhibit strong emotional intelligence in interactions with children and colleagues.
Actively pursue opportunities for professional development and take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
At least 1 year of experience supporting teaching in the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).
Certificate in Early Childhood Development (ECD) from a recognized institution.
Registration with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
Excellent written and spoken English skills.
Flexibility, creativity, and adaptability in handling classroom activities.
Strong emotional intelligence and ability to nurture young learners.
Commitment to continuous professional growth.
