Shree Sahajanand School, Uganda (SSSU) is a modern co-educational day learning institution built to offer exceptional and affordable pre-primary, primary, and secondary schooling to children on the National Curriculum, and the examining body is UNEB..

Shree Sahajanand School, Uganda (SSSU) is a modern co-educational day learning institution offering pre-primary, primary, and secondary schooling to children on the National Curriculum.
Situated in the heart of Kampala City at Bukoto, Nakawa Division, SSSU is strategically built in a quiet and secure residential area on a 30-acre Shree Swaminarayan Complex.
We operate under the auspices of Shree Kutchi Leva Patel Samaj (SKLPS) Uganda, and Shree Kutch Satsang Swaminarayan Temple (SKSST, Kampala. The school is incorporated as Shree Sahajanand School in the year 2022.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Teaching Chemistry: The primary duty is to teach chemistry concepts, theories, and laboratory techniques to students according to the curriculum guidelines.

  • Lesson Planning: Develop lesson plans and instructional materials that align with curriculum standards and cater to the needs of diverse learners. This may include lectures, demonstrations, laboratory experiments, and multimedia presentations.

  • Laboratory Management: Plan and supervise laboratory activities, ensuring safety protocols are followed and providing guidance to students during experiments.

  • Assessment and Evaluation: Design and administer assessments (e.g., quizzes, tests, lab reports) to evaluate student understanding and proficiency in chemistry. Provide constructive feedback to students to support their learning.

  • Individualized Instruction: Provide additional support or enrichment activities to students who may need it, and differentiate instruction to accommodate varying learning styles and abilities.

  • Curriculum Development: Collaborate with colleagues to develop and revise curriculum materials, laboratory experiments, and assessment methods to enhance the teaching and learning of chemistry.

  • Parent Communication: Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress, academic concerns, and opportunities for improvement. Attend parent-teacher conferences as needed.

  • Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development to stay abreast of advancements in chemistry education, teaching methodologies, and laboratory techniques.

  • Safety Procedures: Ensure that safety procedures and protocols are followed in the chemistry laboratory to prevent accidents and minimize risks to students and staff.

  • Extra-Curricular Activities: Participate in or oversee chemistry-related extra-curricular activities such as science clubs, competitions, or research projects.

  • Education: Typically, a bachelor's degree in chemistry or a related field is required for teaching chemistry at the high school level. For college-level teaching, a master's or doctoral degree in chemistry or a related field is usually necessary.

  • Subject Matter Knowledge: Demonstrated proficiency in chemistry and a deep understanding of chemical concepts, principles, and laboratory techniques are essential.

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary for effectively explaining complex chemical concepts and engaging with students, parents, and colleagues.

  • Technology Skills: Familiarity with educational technology tools, such as interactive whiteboards, simulation software, and data analysis tools, can enhance teaching and learning in the chemistry classroom.
