Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities
Assessing the patients' condition and needs, and planning, implementing and evaluating nursing interventions accordingly.
Administering medications, treatments and procedures as prescribed by the doctors, and documenting the outcomes.
Monitoring the patients' vital signs, fluid balance and nutritional status, and reporting any changes or abnormalities to the doctors.
Educating the patients and their families on the disease process, treatment plan, discharge instructions and follow-up care.
Collaborating with other members of the health care team to ensure the delivery of safe, effective and holistic care.
Maintaining a clean, comfortable and safe environment for the patients and adhering to infection control policies and standards.
Participating in quality improvement activities, staff development programs and professional nursing practice.

Qualifications and Competencies
A diploma or degree in nursing from a recognized institution.
A valid license to practice as a registered nurse in the country.
At least one year of clinical experience in general ward or medical-surgical nursing.
Good communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to learn new skills and update knowledge.
