Job Description

The SBC Specialist will play a critical role in designing evidence-based approaches, strengthening capacity, and monitoring and evaluating SBC activities. They will collaborate with MSI’s Evidence and Impact team to document successes and challenges, ensuring best practices are shared across MSI’s global partnership. The role also involves working with the Technical Services Department and donor teams to integrate SBC strategies into program proposals, contributing to MSI’s 2030 strategy.

  • Degree in Public Health, Marketing/Communications, International Development, or a related field.

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in SBC program design and implementation, particularly in health and sexual reproductive health rights (SRHR).

  • Experience in critically reviewing SBC approaches and scaling effective strategies.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Ability to translate research insights into practical programming solutions.

  • Skilled in designing and leading participatory training sessions.

  • Understanding of gender mainstreaming, disability inclusion, and “Do No Harm” principles.

  • Familiarity with social and behavior change communication theories and social norms approaches.

  • Experience in working with community health workers and using participatory design methodologies (e.g., Human-Centered Design).

  • Strong networking, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Word for presentations and reports.
