The Institute for International Cooperation and Development (C&D) is a non-profit making Italian organization implementing various projects in Karamoja region and other parts of Uganda. In more than fifty (50) years of actively participating in the development programme in Karamoja Region, C&D has built strong and collaborative links with the local communities and attaches great importance to the delivery of much-needed services and resources to the most vulnerable through participatory approaches.

C&D is currently looking for competent and suitable candidates to fill the following vacant positions based in Moroto Field Offices:

  • Support all MEAL initiatives for assigned grant(s)/project(s) including monitoring.

  • In collaboration with the relevant project staff (i.e. administrative and technical staff), develop periodic component work plans along with a resource allocation plan.

  • Lead and coordinate the implementation of the component work plans, agreed by the implementing partners of the project.

  • Develop terms of references for the consultancy and/or professional services to be procured within the scope of the activities of the vocational skills and competency development component.

  • Coordinate and monitor the work of the individual consultants and/or professional service providers to be contracted within the scope of the vocational skills and competency development component of the Project,

  • Assure quality of the component outputs in accordance with the specific terms of reference of the assignments and the provisions of the project documents.

  • Participate in project coordination and planning meetings and provide the representatives of the concerned institutions with technical inputs regarding the component.

  • Work with managers and colleagues to develop and design training materials that meet the needs of project participants.

  • Conduct training needs analysis surveys and research.

  • Fulfill additional tasks, as required.

  • A University Degree in Development Studies, Business Management, Social Science, Social Work and Social Administration, Community Development, Economics or any other related discipline/field.

  • Three () years of working experience in education/vocational/development projects; or related areas (essential).

  • Capacity to produce high-quality briefs and reports in English.

  • Good level of proficiency in Windows Excel and Quantitative Analysis.

  • Demonstrated ability to train and build the capacity of others.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Experience in a non-governmental organization (desirable).

  • The ability to work with people at all levels in the organization.

  • Effective organizational skills.

  • Writing, design and editing skills.

  • The ability to learn new learning-related IT packages, such as learning management systems and e-learning authoring tools.

  • The ability to facilitate workshops.

  • The ability to analyze data and report on your findings.

  • Ability to present to large groups.

  • Problem solving and negotiation skills.

  • A flexible approach to work
