Job Description
The Site Reliability Engineer will perform hands-on engineering tasks, including developing deployments, automation tools, and patch management processes across cloud and on-premise environments. Responsibilities include managing IAM practices, administering cloud systems, collaborating with technical teams to resolve complex issues, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience in cloud computing and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) technologies like Terraform and Ansible. Additional competencies in CI/CD, compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, SOC, PCI), monitoring, documentation, and modern cloud architectures are highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate strong technical, collaborative, and communication skills while maintaining a security-first mindset.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and deploy automation scripts and tooling for client infrastructure.
Manage and update systems to meet security and compliance requirements.
Implement and monitor Identity and Access Management protocols.
Administer cloud systems (AWS, Azure, GCP) and perform system troubleshooting.
Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to resolve technical issues.
Adhere to internal quality and compliance standards.
Identify risks and work on mitigation strategies.
Track project tasks and ensure timely completion.
Provide technical documentation and support compliance reporting.
Contribute to operational improvements and automation initiatives.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
3–5 years in systems engineering and cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
3–5 years experience with IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
Familiarity with GitLab, CI/CD, monitoring, and compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, PCI).
Experience in ticket-based managed services environments.
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Ability to create technical diagrams and documentation.
Security-focused with knowledge of encryption, PKI, FIPS, CIS benchmarks, etc.
Bonus: Knowledge of serverless, microservices, containerization, firewalls, or modern app frameworks.
