our showrooms across Uganda. This role involves managing human resources, stocking, customer relationships, sales, and revenue growth.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in retail store management within industries such as Telecom, Banking, or Insurance.
Human Resource Management
Work with the HR department to implement HR policies of the company.
Oversee the recruitment, training, coaching, and mentoring of showroom staff.
Ensure the overall effectiveness and productivity of the showroom staff.
Foster a positive and inclusive work environment for showroom staff.
Stock Management
Ensure optimal stock levels are maintained in all showrooms.
Develop and adhere to stocking norms and procedures such as FIFO (First In, First Out) and LIFO (Last In, First Out).
Monitor ageing stock and implement strategies to minimize waste.
Coordinate with the Supply Chain team to ensure proper logistics planning and timely deliveries of stock to the showroom.
Monitor sales and ensure no stock outages or overstocking.
Customer Relationship Management
Oversee customer acquisition, management, and aftersales service.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
Address and resolve customer complaints and inquiries.
Implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Showroom Operations
Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of all showrooms.
Monitor and improve showroom layouts and displays to maximize customer engagement.
Work closely with the Marketing department and other company departments to derive strategies for growth.
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry growth.
Sales and Revenue Growth
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports to senior management.
Engage in field activities to identify potential customers and build relationships with various stakeholders.
Manage the company's Fundi program.
Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.
Strategic Direction
Contribute to the development of the overall strategic direction for the showroom.
Implement initiatives to enhance market presence and competitiveness.
Stay abreast of industry trends and adapt strategies accordingly.
Financial Management
Manage costs and P&L of the showrooms.
Implement cost-saving measures without compromising on quality or customer service.
Provide financial reports and insights to senior management.
Proven track record of managing multiple retail locations.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficient in inventory management and sales analytics.
Strong financial acumen with experience in managing P&L statements.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in retail store management, preferably within Telecom, Banking, or Insurance.
