The Uganda Episcopal Conference is the Assembly of the Catholic Hierarchy in Uganda, constituted with the approval of the Holy See, through which Bishops express their collegial responsibility through collective action, to assure the progress of the Church and coordination of its social and pastoral ministry. It is headed by a Chairman elected every four years. He is assisted by an Executive Board, also chosen every four years, composed of six Chairmen of various Commissions. The Episcopal Conference of Uganda was founded in 1960.

Job Description
To provide leadership, coordinate and direct Clinical HIV Care and Treatment services, providing comprehensive HIV technical support supervision and mentorship, train and build capacity of health care workers at UEC and subnational healthcare facilities supported by the Faith-led Action to Sustain HIV Epidemic Control (FLASH) project. The job entails proficiency in Paediatric and Adult ART services, including regimen optimization, Viral Load Suppression and Coverage, TB/HIV integration, differentiated service delivery, assuring Continuity of Treatment, data driven quality improvement approaches as well as Laboratory and Pharmacy support. The job holder supports development of Standard Operating Procedure documents aligning with MoH and WHO policies, dissemination of new clinical updates. The job holder also supports UEC's efforts in Partnership building, resource mobilization, grant writing and research activities and initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assessing the technical needs and requirements of the organization and its clients, and proposing solutions that meet or exceed them.
Developing and maintaining technical standards, policies, and procedures that ensure best practices and compliance with industry regulations.
Mentoring, coaching, and training the technical staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Evaluating and recommending new technologies, tools, and methodologies that can enhance the performance and efficiency of the technical team and the organization.
Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues, providing expert advice and assistance to the technical team and the clients.
Communicating effectively with the technical team, the management, and the clients, ensuring that the technical vision and strategy are aligned with the organizational goals and expectations.

Qualifications and Competencies
Technical competence:
They should have a deep and broad knowledge of the relevant technologies, tools, and best practices in their domain. They should be able to solve complex problems, design robust solutions, and provide guidance and feedback to others.
Communication skills:
They should be able to communicate effectively with different audiences, such as clients, stakeholders, managers, and team members. They should be able to explain technical concepts in simple terms, listen actively, and adapt their style to the situation.
Leadership skills:
They should be able to inspire, motivate, and mentor others. They should be able to set clear goals, delegate tasks, and monitor progress. They should also be able to handle conflicts, give constructive criticism, and recognize achievements.
Learning attitude:
They should be willing to learn new things, update their skills, and share their knowledge. They should be open to feedback, suggestions, and new perspectives. They should also be able to learn from their mistakes and failures
